GeT TO KNOW ME

Hi there! I'm Jackie, the heart and soul behind Namaste + Play. My passion for kids yoga began when I was studying to be a speech-language pathologist. I always knew I wanted to work with children, and then one day in college, I stumbled upon yoga, and it instantly resonated with me. What started as a physical practice soon unfolded into a transformative journey of self-discovery and healing.

Yoga gifted me with clarity, peace, and resilience—qualities I wished I'd possessed during my own childhood struggles with anxiety and self-doubt. Determined to equip children with these invaluable tools early on, I embarked on a mission to teach yoga to children, especially those with special needs. During my graduate school years, I pursued my passion by completing my kids yoga teacher training, further enhancing my ability to integrate yoga into my work. Incorporating yoga into my therapy sessions and creating yoga groups became a cornerstone of my approach, providing a nurturing space where children could thrive both physically and emotionally.

As I grew as a speech language pathologist and yoga teacher, I knew I wanted to do more. Witnessing the pandemic's toll on children's mental health fueled my resolve to reach a wider audience. And so, Namaste + Play was born—a platform dedicated to nurturing mindful, resilient young minds.

My goal is simple yet profound: to empower children with the tools they need to thrive emotionally and mentally. And as someone who's experienced the life-changing impact of yoga and mindfulness firsthand, I'm committed to sharing these practices with parents and therapists alike.
